This year, 52 filmmaking teams stepped into the ring and accepted the challenge to create an original horror movie in just two weeks. Armed with three required prompts, a prop, a sound, and a line of dialogue, filmmakers from across the region have been writing, shooting, acting, editing, screaming, and probably losing a little sleep as they race toward the finish line.
Now it’s time to see what they created.

You never quite know what you’re going to get at Carson Creepy.
Expect ghosts, monsters, killers, creatures, dark comedy, supernatural scares, buckets of fake blood, and ideas we couldn’t possibly predict when we handed out the prompts.
Every film was created specifically for this competition, and every screening is a chance to experience original work from local and regional filmmakers alongside the people who made it.
And trust us, these movies are a lot more fun with a crowd.
This year’s Carson Creepy festivities are inspired by the Creepy Circus, so don’t be afraid to get into the spirit. Come dressed for the occasion, grab some popcorn and a drink, and settle in for a celebration of independent horror filmmaking.
Whether you’re supporting a team, love horror movies, want to discover local filmmakers, or simply want to spend an evening watching movies you genuinely cannot see anywhere else, there’s a seat waiting for you under the big top.
