Kick off Nevada Pride with a special screening of the beloved LGBTQ+ romantic comedy Trick.

Presented by the Brewery Arts Center and Nevada Pride, this special Pride event brings the community together for a night of laughter, connection, and queer cinema on the big screen.

Released in 1999, Trick follows two young men who meet in New York City and spend one unforgettable night trying — and hilariously failing — to find a moment alone together. Funny, charming, and heartfelt, the film became a cult favorite for its refreshing celebration of queer romance, friendship, nightlife, and self-discovery.

At a time when LGBTQ+ stories were still rarely centered in mainstream romantic comedies, Trick offered something joyful, witty, and deeply human. More than two decades later, it remains a fan favorite and a perfect film to celebrate the start of Pride.

Join us for this Nevada Pride kickoff screening and enjoy a night of film, community, and celebration.

About the Film

Trick is a 1999 romantic comedy directed by Jim Fall and starring Christian Campbell, John Paul Pitoc, Tori Spelling, and Steve Hayes. Set over the course of one chaotic night in New York City, the film follows Gabriel, an aspiring musical theatre writer, and Mark, a go-go dancer, as they navigate friendship, attraction, interruptions, and the search for connection.

With its sharp humor, memorable supporting characters, and sincere heart, Trick remains one of the signature LGBTQ+ romantic comedies of the late 1990s.
